Compassionate Care In The Comfort Of Your Own Home

Our Story

Gentle Shepherd Home Care was founded by Kathy and Scott Miller. They founded the company based on their own experience and difficult task of finding qualified, compassionate and trusted care for their loved ones.  It all began with Kathy’s 97-year-old Grandmother “MeeMaw”. She needed a great deal of care and assistance to remain in her own home.  Adding to the difficulty MeeMaw lived in Dallas and the Millers in Colorado. Kathy would fly to Dallas on a regular basis but quickly realized her grandmother needed more care than she was able to provide. Thus the daunting task of finding qualified caregivers began. Most recently the Millers went through a search for Scott’s mother who was undergoing treatment for cancer. Like many families, their search proved to be an overwhelming and challenging experience. Therefore, the Miller’s uniquely understand what family members go through when seeking care for their loved ones.

Additionally, Kathy has had a successful 25-year career as an Executive in the staffing industry. In her executive roles she headed up large Regions where she was responsible for management, operations, recruiting and sales. The skills and experience gained over the past 25-years uniquely qualify her to recruit, hire and retain best-in-class caregiver talent. Scott has had a long and successful career both in the United States Air Force and for the past 29-years with a fortune 500 company as an Information Technology leader and management expert. He brings infinite technical knowledge as well as, operational and management skills to Gentle Shepherd Home Care.

Gentle Shepherd provides, best-in-class, qualified, compassionate and trustworthy care for seniors, and the chronically ill, allowing them to remain in the comfort of their own home. We are uniquely qualified to provide professional, loving and compassionate caregivers. The Miller’s only hire caregivers they would want for their own loved ones, giving peace of mind to family members who cannot not be there on a 24/7 basis.
