Caregiver of the Month | Kerry

Kerry takes on some of GSHC most difficult cases and does so with grace, compassion, and innovated thinking. We can rely on Kerry to always put her clients above anything else.  We are excited to recognize Kerry as our Caregiver of the Month for February 2023.

When asked why Kerry loves being a caregiver she wrote:
Caregiving is more than a job. For me, it’s personal. It’s hope, joy, light, and strength for someone when they are unable to be this. Helping others do what they once was able to do and can no longer do is a blessing. Knowing how much they trust you, depend on you, and look for you is the most rewarding feeling in life you can have. Listening to the stories they tell and learning from them through their life is unlearned knowledge. Being able to be a friend, family, support system, or just a shoulder for someone to cry on is worth all the heartache that comes with being a caregiver.
One of my favorite quotes is, ‘Caring for the ones who cared for us is one of the highest honors’ by Tia Walker
I love caregiving it’s more than a job. It’s giving life.”
